Ingredients
Tallow, Shea Butter, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Lye, Water, Activated Charcoal, Colloidal Oats, Bentonite Clay, Cedar Essential Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Tea Tree Oil
For external use only. Patch test before first use and discontinue if irritation occurs.
How it’s made
Cold-process, mixed and poured by hand in small batches, cut the next day and cured on the rack for a full six weeks so the bar is hard enough to last in the shower.
Why there’s lye in soap
Every real bar of soap is made with lye. It reacts with the oils during saponification and is used up entirely doing it — there’s none left in a finished, cured bar. More on that here.
